In gaming terms, Buddhism is the "sequence break" religion amongst most of the religions that seem to be in any degree powerful

There seems to be a common endpoint amongst several of the Asian faiths, where you basically attune yourself to the universe and get great influence over it as a result

All of them except Buddhism have you accomplish that by attuning to different parts of the universe over time, slowly building up connections until you hit the required level

Meanwhile in Buddhism you discard all connections... then plug into everything at once
It's really only meaningful when you're analyzing those faiths from the perspective that they're paths to what is essentially godhood, which isn't quite how the common believer would see it

And even that perspective has a lot of prereqs to be of much use, at least in the way I'm using it
When I meditate, I practise diaphragmatic breathing and maintain a straight posture. I have found that this combination helps.

@Shinyuu, our system has past experience with several-day-long retreats, solely for the purpose of meditation. While there was no spiritual element involved, it was certainly an interesting experience.
The most recent of these "long sessions" was in the summer of 2016. Anko, the other half of our system, spent what was between 1-2 weeks practising dissociation from the physical body for what amounted to several hours a day.(edited)
